(1) Preventing embankment landslides: When an embankment experiences landslides due to seepage, failure to address it promptly may lead to a breach. Specific usage method: Stack water-absorbing expansion bags in multiple layers in a "pin" shape at the lower part of the landslide to quickly halt further soil movement, allowing time to fill and repair the damaged embankment.

(2) Raising embankments: Based on flood forecasts, if water levels are expected to exceed design flood levels or even the embankment itself, use water-absorbing expansion bags to construct a temporary levee on the water-facing side of the embankment before the flood arrives to prevent overflow. Specific usage method: After the water-absorbing expansion bags have expanded, layer and compact them in a staggered manner. To prevent interlayer leakage, add loose soil between layers. 1. When not in use, store the flood control expansion bags in a dry indoor area for standby use. They can be deployed during flood seasons or typhoon/rainy seasons for water absorption and flood control.

2. During use, open the water-absorbing expansion bag package, immerse the bag in nearby water or directly pour water over it for flood control. After about 3-5 minutes, the bag will expand 80–100 times (approximately 15kg), and then move it to the required location for flood blocking.

3. After the flood recedes, unused bags can be resealed and stored in a dry indoor area. Used bags should be air-dried naturally and disposed of as waste—non-toxic, harmless, and pollution-free.
